Mrs. Rivera's Class

We went to art and we drew our beetles. In reading we read the Polar Express and we  drew  our favorite part of the story. In math, we had paper presents and we put them in order biggest to smallest. We watched Polar Express. Santa came to our window. We had milk and cookies. Santa brought us Magic Bells that jingle to people who believe in him. We had presents. Mrs. Kern gave us Magic Riendeer food. We drop it on the ground or balconey and the reindeer smell the food. The glitter is for them to see it.

In math, there were 10 reindeer in the barn and the other reindeer went to do a practice run. We went to Art. We painted butterflies and flowers. We did reading.  We read the Reindeer that was afraid to fly. We went upstaris to the Christmas  Store. In Social Studies we made a present for our parents.

We went to PE. We sang songs to practice our songs for tonight. In math we rolled a die. We colored the number on our picture. In reading we listened for ending sounds. We did social studies we made a letter to Santa. We told him the things we want and the things we need.

We went to Music. We did math. We made a Christmas tree. First we just lined it up and then we glued it down. We did Social studies. We shared our parents work on why we are a gift.

Today was someone's birthday! He turned 6! We went to art. We outlined our fish. We went to the library. We did math. The old lady made 6 Gingerbread men on Monday and 4 on Tuesday. There were ten gingerbread men altogether. In Writer's Workshop we got to draw and write in our rest spot because our tables had lots of stuff on it. We did Social Studies.

We read a story about a witch and a little kid in Culture. In math, we practiced our number 13.  We made groups of 13 on the carpet. We played a dice game. We colored the box for the number we rolled. We did reading. We read Little Panda. We watched a couple of videos about pandas on the Smart board. We watched a little more of Arthur's Christmas. We saw other holidays like Hanukka and Kwanzaa. We made a wreath.We did not have centers today because we did not have enough time.

We did math. We did reading. We read Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer during snack.

We went to Music. We sang Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. The 5th grader's helped us. In Math, we used a triangle and a circle to make Santa's Hat. Mrs. Rivera read a book that she wrote in Writer's Workshop. It was about her dog Nikko in the rain. She had to give her a bath and then Nikko smelled like roses. We did scoial studies.We watched a little bit of Arthur's Christmas. It was about christmas, hannukah, kwanzaa, all the holidays in December.

We did Art. We painted our picture of a fish. We got to draw whatever we wanted to when we were done. We did math. We did journals. We drew 7 red peppermints and 2 green ones and we circled the one with the most. We had pockets. We put counters in them. We read Who's Garden is it? We did social studies. We read the Family Book. We drew a picture of our families. Mrs. Tejada came and she talked to us about friends.

We made a Christmas tree and a cany cane in Culture. We glued them together. We went to the library. We heard a story called Santa Duck. In math we did a problem about 9 gumdrops and our friends had the same amount. We did Social Studies. We read a Gingerbread Story.  We made a gingerbread man. We colored  it. We followed directions like  "If you are a girl you colored the buttons pink and if you are a boy you color the buttons blue." We hung the gingerbread men up. They all look different.

There is a new student today. We practiced our number 12. We made a candy cane. We did it so we can practice our ABB pattern. We went to PE. We exercised. We ran. Wer read Whose Garden Is It? We made a Literacy Station Expectation Poster. We did science.  We made a goose. Geese fly during the winter they Migrate.
