Mrs. Rivera's Class

We went to Music. We did math. We did our problem and we went outside and we made shapes with big string we held it to make big shapes. We did science. We pinched the seed and opened up a lima bean and saw a little thing. It was the embryo. It is a little baby plant. There was also the food store. There was a seed coat too.

We did art. We colored colored our favorite part of the book. Mrs. Tejada came. She gave us a paper and it asked "What's your favorite thing?" We did math. We did our problem.We played a game. Someone brought in seeds. We looked at them through a magnifying glass. We did science. We colored a book about seeds. We got popcorn.

In Culture, we read a book. We colored our paper. Ms. Shimojo was not there. We went to the Library. We did a math problem. We had a page about sharks. We added teeth and counted them all together. We did science. We learned about seeds. We can eat them or we can plant them underground. They need to be watered so we can watch it grow. When the seed grows up its a sunflower or a cherry tree or a berry bush.

We did PE. We did math. We practiced our number 17. We made groups of 17 on the carpet. There are clocks on our schedule now so we can see what time things start. We read a book about seeds. We saw lots of different seeds in our book. We got to eat our snack and see who had seeds in our snack.

We went to Music. We said jump, stomp, stomp. In Math we picked our favorite season and we colored it. We put them on a graph. Most people like Winter. We did reading. Anna lent us a book about. The girl was different. She had purple hair. The kings had blue and red hair. The kings wanted people separated. The girl wanted everyone together. In social studies, we read a story about Martin Luther King Jr. as a kid.We drew about our dreams.Someone wrote they wanted to go to school with their friends and another person wrote how he doesn't like people fighting.

We painted in Art. We practiced for an earthquake. In Math, we drew a snowman for our Math problem. We practiced our letter Y. In Social Studies we learned about Martin Luther King Jr. We made a collage Dr. King, Jr. page.

We went to Culture. We read a story about animals. We had Library. In math, we practiced the number 16. We made groups of 16. We did a problem and we learned the word pair. A pair is 2. We did Social Studies. We made a book for Martin Luther King Jr. and we colored it. We saw a song about Dr. King on the SMART board.

                                                             In social studies we made a map of our bedroom. Today’s special was Art, we made bugs. We did our morning math word problem. Mrs. Tejada came and talked to us about bullying, also gave us a worksheet. We made a graph about soccer. We did some testing with Mrs. Rivera. We practiced our letter “X”

We did math. Brandon and Mackenzie had 3 snowballs to make snowmen. They made 4 snowmen. So they used 12 snowballs altogether. We did Culture. We colored Japanese food. We spoke in Japanese. We said ichi, ni, san, shi, go, roku, nana, hachi, ku, ju. We went to Library. In social studies we made a big map of our classroom. Then we are going to do a map tomorrow when we come back to school. We read a book today called Me on the Map.

We have a new friend! She is from California. We did  PE. We were running faster. We did a test. We did math. We solved a problem. It was Anna had 8 marshmallows in a cup of cocoa. We had to draw a cup less marshmallows. In reading, we talked about babies. Babies learn how to walk. We sang a song about babies. Happy birthday friend! We did science and we did our snowman. We slid the strips of paper through the snowman.

We had a birthday today. We went to Music. We sang songs. We did math. We played a game. In reading we read from the pink book. It had no pictures. In science, we made a cup of hot cocoa. It was fake with real marshmallows. We wrote what we like to do in the winter on the cup.

In math we had a problem where someone had 8 snowballs and 5 melted. We did art. We made a folder for all of our stuff.  We did our mittens and our snowflakes. We did a graph. What is your favorite color? Most picked red as their favorite color. 5 people chose red.  Two people chose yellow as their favorite color. Purple and Blue were equal. We did reading. We did a paper about ducks and we had to draw the rest of the story. We made a big snowman and filled his belly up with words about Winter. We made a snowman with paint. It was white. It had different things to go in it like glue and shaving cream.
