Mrs. Rivera's Class

In the early morning we made a circle. We played a game called "We are going on a picnic..." We went to Art. We made shapes to make buildings. We played Math games. We got to make patterns. During lunch and recess we had our picnic. After the picnic we had popsicles. We watched The Magic School Bus during Rest time. Mrs. Marsh's Class came and read to us again. We did Social Studies. We made crowns because tomorrow will be Queens and Kings day. We  put glitter on the crowns.

We made a Penguin in Culture. Mrs. Tejada came for the last time. We talked about who strangers are. During writer's workshop we wrote outside. We went outside during centers and ate popscicles.

We gave ourselves a new name. We picked our name and put it on our shirts. We went to PE. We did math. We practiced our number 22. We had Sure Start come over and do reading. We made a Hungry Caterpillar. We added eyes, a mouth, and antennae. The body had the days of the week.

Today was leisure day. We took our shoes off. We relaxed. We read Building Beavers one more time. We went to Art. We painted the background of our dogs. We watched the Magic School Bus during rest time. We colored a paper for Memorial Day.

We went to Culture. Mrs. Weems was there. We read a book named The Dragon's Tears. We went to the library. We did math. We were supposed to do kickball but it was raining outside. Instead we made crowns. We are now the King of ing! We read a book about Memorial Day. We colored pictures of things we do on Memorial Day. We can go to a parade, we can wear flowers, we raise the flag we say thank you to the service men. We remember the people who died.

We are doing our ABC Countdown and we gave compliments all day. That is when somebody is doing good we let them know we like what they are doing. We did flags in Culture. We did math. We did reading. We read Homes around the World. We drew a picture of the type of home we would like to live in. For centers we went out to the playground. We earned cupcakes because we earned 100 marbles.

We made a Community Circle. We talked about the fun that we had on the weekend. We did Art. We had a fire drill. We read a story about different houses around the world. Then we looked at videos online. We saw shoe houses, boat houses, dog houses. We even saw a Hello Kitty House. We did an Art Project. We painted something. We did something secret for Mother's Day. It was someone's birthday yesterday.

In our Math journals we had a different math problem. We are practicing our math facts. We went to the talent show. We saw people dancing. During rest, Mrs. Moore-Robinson came on the intercom to tell us to see the sun outside. The sun had a loop. We went outside and there was a rainbow circling the sun.
