Mrs. Rivera's Class

At Music, Mr. Duster wasn't there. Mrs. Weems was there. We did Math. We practiced the number 15. In reading, we read Messenger, Messenger. We watched real messengers on the SMART Board. Mrs. Kern told us to all sit down at recess and then she said "APRIL FOOL'S." We made a watering can. Mrs. Rivera said everyone owes time, but she was just kidding.

We went to art. We traced a stencil. We learned about transportation. We tasted different types of ice cream. We tasted vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, oreo and sherbert. We circled the faces of how we liked them on our paper. We made a graph named Which Ice Cream Do You Like Best? We read from Junie B.  At lunch we had sherbert. Mrs. Tejada came and read to us. We did science. We made a tulip flower because it is spring. We wrote words. We wrote why we love spring.

We went to Culture. Mrs. Weems read us a book about the bamboo princess. It was a good book. Mrs. Weems let us pick our favorite paper to color.  We did math. We did a math problem. We did reading. We had to draw a line to pictures "why did it happen?"We read Mayday! Mayday! again.

We went to the librar. We did our journals outside. We did science. We talked about fall, winter, spring, summer. Those are  called seasons.

We went to art. We practiced lines, like a bumpy one and a straight one. We sang the tattle song. We sang our song about numbers in the teens. We practiced our number 14. We did reading. We read Mayday! Mayday! We read from Junie B. We practiced our letter T. We did social studies. We drew about what transportation will be like in the future, like a car that has wings, maybe. We watched a little bit of the Jetsons on the SMART Board.

We did PE. We had a fire drill. We ran in the gym. We did something new in PE. It was soccor kick! We didn't do centers because of the fire drill. We took a class picture at the playground. We did math. We played a game. We watched a video of a steam engine train. A steam engine train has an engine and cars for passengers sometimes. Today trains are faster like the Japanese bullet train. We watched a video of the Japanese bullet train going too.

We went to Art.We did our own shapes. Ms. Walker read us a book about St. Patrick's Day. We made a leprechaun in math using shapes. We did math. We (talked about) our shapes. A sphere rolls. We did reading. We read a story about Max and Ruby. Max was going on a train. Transportation is trains, busses, airplanes, bikes, subwasy, casr, motorcycles.
