Mrs. Rivera's Class

We did art. We drew our favorite book written by Dr. Seuss. We read Green  Eggs and Ham. We tried Green Eggs and Ham. It tasted like ham and eggs. We made a graph about who loves, likes and does not like Green Eggs and Ham. Everyone loves Green Eggs and Ham. We made a hat from Cat in the Hat. We colored our hat red.

We did a problem. We drew 10 fish. We crossed out 4 and 6 were left. We went to Culture class. We drew. We read a book. We talked about Dr. Seusss. We read One Fish, Two Fish, Red, Fish, Blue Fish. We colored a fish with markers. We could only use blue and red. We cut the fish out. We had two circles. They were red and blue.  We put the circles together. If we colored the fish with both red and blue we put the fish in the middle of both circles.  It is called a Venn Diagram. We had red and blue fish and we had to put them in a pattern. We watched The Cat in the Hat on the SMART Board.

·       We went to music: We sang Do Re Mi ·       We did math: We learned odd and even numbers, while picking numbers out of a jar. We also counted buttons.   ·       We did reading: We read “One Little Mouse” ·       We practiced our letter “Q” ·       Social Studies we read a Dr. Suess book. Then we made something crazy and wild.

We went to culture and Ms. Shimojo read us a book about a mouse. In math, we did a math problem. We read My Lucky Day and focused cause and effect, why did the things happen. We did Social Studies. We read a book about Abraham Lincoln.We made hats like Abraham Lincoln.

We did PE. We were running fast! We did the Pull-Up Bar. We did Math. We practiced our number 20. We measured what was the heaviest and what was the lightest. We pretended that people were measuring balances and we put things in their hands and their hand went down when something was heavy. The hand went up something was light. We did reading. We read My Lucky Day. We did Social Studies. We watched a video about George Washington. We wrote facts about George Washington. We watched a video about Abraham Lincoln. We wrote facts about Abraham Lincoln.

Let's weigh our 100 objects! Which one is the heaviest? 100th Day hats! There were 100 chocolate kisses hidded around the room! Can we find them all? What can you make with 100 cups? What a great day!!

We made a special Valentine for our special friend! We went on a Heart Hunt! How many hearts can we find around the room? Time to open our valentines! We love our Mrs. Kern! Lot's of yummy goodies today!
