Mrs. Rivera's Class

We went to PE. We were running faster and faster. We did the pull-up bar. We watched a video about Thanksgiving. It was Charlie Brown. We did Social Studies. We made a pilgrim. The boy wears a hat and the girls wear bonnet. They came on the Mayflower.

We did a game. There was a paperclip and someone holds the pencil and the other one flicks the paper clip. The papercip lands on a number after ten. Then we choose if we wanted to show the number card or that number counters.

We did PE. We did Test the Time and we had to put our chin over the pull up ball. We went jogging. We practivced the number 10. We went to the Library. Mrs. Tejada read us a story about a rabbit who liked to dance. We did science. We did Social Studies. We made a Wampanoag. We played the trash game.

We made patterns with apples on the SMART Board. In math, we made patterns we colored pictures and we glue them on our paper. We went to Art. We read a book about fish. We drew fish. We went to library to pick out books. We voted for Community Circle Helper.  Stuffy is the first Community Circle Helper. He wanted to be re-elected like Barack Obama.  The Longhorn wants to be the Community Circle Helper. We did science. We looked at an apple with our eyes. It was red. Then we cut the apple in half and looked at the inside.We made paper apples. We ate the apples.  Mrs. Beck stopped by to help us make applesauce. We peeled and cut the apples and they will cook all day tomorrow!

We scooped the seeds out of the biggest pumpkin. We made a jack-o-lantern. We named him Thomas the Pumpkin. We voted to see what shape to carve the pumpkin's eyes, nose and mouth. We went to music. We ordered the pumpkins by size. We put the big pumpkins first and went all the way to our little pumpkins. We made pumpkin bread. We used baking soda. We read The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything. We did the whole alphabet (on pumpkins). Then we colored the pumpkins orange. We did science. First we looked  at the outside of the pumpkin and drew what we saw. Then we cut the pumpkin in half and we drew what we saw. Then we took 20 seeds and put them in a bag and put that in our backpack. We ate our snack and we got to eat our pumpkin bread too.  It was yummy!

We did art and we watched a second Purple Crayon and then we lined up at the red box. We went to the library. We did our candy corn. We colored candy corn with numbers on them.We found the numbers and put them in order. Then we put them on our head. Then we ate them all (real candy corn). We each had 4. In science we got paper and we got to color pictures of pumpkins, seeds, vine and flowers. They grow into a pumpkin. They are green at first and when they are ready they are orange. We finished our pumpkins that were green (from yesterday) and we put all our orange paper on them.

Congratulations to our Clipper of the week! We went to Culture. We made more pumpkins. We practiced the number 8 and the letter M. We made groups of eight on the carpet.  We sang our number songs. In Reading, we read Armadillo Orange. We watched videos about armadillos. They live in Texas, Florida and Mexico. He has a hard back and he rolls up. We did Science.  We read It's Pumpkin Time. We ripped orange paper and used glue and put it on a green pumpkin paper. The green pumpkin isn't ready. An orange pumpkin is ripe and ready to be picked.
